Sounds a great adventure and a challenging one.

My only comment really is, that if you are leaving a vehicle at Wallsend for an extended period, make sure that you have booked secure parking. Don't rely on on-street or open air car parking for, as with most cities over here, the chances of it being broken into are something that needs considering.

Have a great time.

Agree with Slowcoach.

My work colleague drove us up to Newcastle in his car. We went in a factory to get the work done. Upon arrival back at his car we found it resting on house bricks as the wheels were missing.

Thanks for the comments. We were planning on leaving the car at the Hadrian Lodge Hotel for the duration. They charge £5.00 per day which is a small price to pay for the added safety of coming bag to a car intact! Let's just hope that their lot is secure!

We stayed at the Hadrian's Lodge Hotel. You have to enter the facility through a gate which may or may not be secured. I think that there is a stone wall separating the hotel from the road. Your car should be out of sight from being viewed from the road.

Good luck!

Well the time has finely arrived for our departure from Vancouver. Hadrian's Wall in first on the agenda after spending a few days sight-seeing in Glasgow and the surrounding area. We'll be updating our website as time and internet permits. Happy walking everyone !
