I'll be starting my east-west trek of the Wall on April 1st and will be almost done by Easter weekend. Wondering if I should be concerned about hostels filling up around this time? I did squeak into one of the last affordable bunks in Newcastle with an advance booking this morning.

I really don't like to overplan and pre-book stuff, but on the other hand I don't want to spend each day worrying if I'll have a place to stay that night, instead of enjoying the day.

I will have a full set of wild-camping gear, which I do hope to be able to do one or two nights. The rest of the time I'm hoping for developed campgrounds or budget hostels.

Any advice?
