Setting off from St Bees on May 10th...arrive RHB on May 23rd. Glad to see that weather seems to be improving. My second crossing, my friend's first. Happy to have the 2012 Stedman guide.

Perhaps the quietest Bank Holiday that I have known yesterday. Was out in the central Dales and, once the rain started, it was pretty grim. Only saw 1 walker all day. Some very boggy paths!

I was at Helvellyn yesterday arrived about 0715 and started up at 0730 the weather from start to finish was fantastic walking weather sunshine a little wind no rain, loved every minute of it, stiffish legs today though coming down Wythburn side is a little steep.

Have lots of spare Annual Leave to use up so decided to do a 3rd C2C. Decided to do it over 8 days during the BH weekend, starting 1st June. Having done it twice before and done some recent non-stoppers in miserable conditions we (Micky - another poster)thought what the hell and decided to get our kit transferred. Never not walked and carried my gear before, however decided to this one time. To freshen things up we are staying in some different places and tweaking the route a little to match. All good fun - and if you are around on the walk at this time and you see 2 guys flash past you (even quicker than normal with only day packs) then feel free to say hi!

I am starting off from Minehead on Saturday or Sunday,12/13/5/2012, hoping to arrive in Poole in about 10 weeks time. Slow I know, but the idea is to complete, not break a world record.
