Somewhat confused! I have just been looking at the distances on the C2C route and one in particular caught my eye. Rosthwaite to Patterdale in the Sherpa Booking form it says the distance is 18 mile however on the booking form invoice it says the distance is 11.1 mile, does anyone know the true distances as I will not be using a Sat Nav. Thanks.

I had it down as 18.3 miles, don't know where I got it from but I didn't have a GPS in those days so I presume it was from a guidebook.

Martin Wainwright puts it at 14.6 miles while Terry Marsh has it at 14 miles. With Grasmere being approximately half way.

This will be my first time doing the C2C, in August, I hit a special birthday this year and this is my present. Really looking forward to it. Unfortunately couldn't find anyone to join me so having to go with an organised group.

We're starting our first crossing a week today (23rd April). This is to celebrate my recent big 5-0 birthday and is revenge for my husband making me climb Kilimanjaro for his 50th! Any one else around next week? I'm so excited and can't wait to get going!
