My husband and I are walking the C2C again this year starting Saturday 30th June. This will be our third crossing now, but still very much looking forward to it. Same route, but different weather, different people, different sheep........

I'll be doing the walk with my brother from May 16 to June 1. This is my first time and to say that I am excited would be an understatement. I've wanted to do this for ages.
However, my excitement is mixed with a bit of trepidation. Although it's fairly routine for me to walk 5 to 8 miles in the course of day, I am not an experienced walker or hiker. I've certainly walked 15 or 20 miles on more than one occasion, but I'm a little worried about doing that for 15 consecutive days (with one rest day). Fortunately, we'll be staying at B&B's (already booked) and having a service transport or luggage from stop to stop.
Did I mention that I'm excited?

Once the time approaches the excitement will start to kick in. Enjoy it (assuming that you have decent comfortable boots and can read a map) and let us know how you get on. You have picked a good time of the year to do it!

I'm sure you'll be fine - we walked it last year over 15 days without a rest day. We too rarely walked more than 8 miles and I was worried about walking so many days in a row, but we managed it. We also don't have any hills where we live! Just make sure you do some training building up the miles and maybe a couple of weeks before you go aim to walk 15 miles two days in a row, or three if possible, which will likely be your miles on the first few days of the walk.

Bob, Don't worry, but do make sure your footwear is good and fits you correctly. The last thing you want is blisters early on, but I'm sure you already know that.
First days for me is easy, I get my blisters either half-way or towards the end.
