I couldn`t let Imogene Edwards walk go unrecorded this tiny slip of a girl all of 9 year old has just finished the Pennine way in awful conditions.Snow sleet gales she just kept walking with her dad. The last section up to Kirk Yetholm they had rain hale sleet and snow all i the one day but she kept smiling and giggling. It was an honour to meet her. Well done Imogene.

I have to say, that is very impressive for a 9 year old. That last section is an absolute killer, so well done Imogene.

Well done indeed. I'd also like to add a good word for Dad, because he must have created the atmosphere in which the girl could flourish so impressively. If he and Imogene write up their exploits I'd love to read all about it.

Very good effort for one so young. She will be doing Ultras in a few years time.

We should never underestimate what children are capable of doing. A great achievement and, I hope, the first of many National Trails.

While the forum was down another young lady Hannah Falvey aged 10 also finished in spritely fashion an a couple of weeks ago a family with 2 children did it, again both girls then at last we had a young fella during half term. It is really unusual for the girls to outnumber the boys but well done to them all it`s a long way for young legs.
