I will walk the C2C in June this year.
Because I will travel from Brussels to London by the Eurostar (and further by local train transport to St. Bees), I can not take any gas with me (gas cartridge of 450 gr).

I would like to ask you following:
1. Do you know if I can buy a gas cartridge (preferable the brand "primus, coleman , optimus , msr,
snowpeak or campinggas ") in St. Bees, Whitehaven,...?
2. An alternative could be that I take a Trangia stove with me. With this I can cook with fuel (alcohol). Do you know if I can buy fuel (alcohol) in St. Bees, Whitehaven,...?
3. What would be the easiest to find on the C2C road : gas cartriges or fuel (alcohol)?

No problem buying cartridges in Whitehaven. There are a number of shops in King Street (near the harbour) which sell them including Millets and Yeomans. Yeomans is (was) open Sundays as well. They certainly sell Colemans and Camping Gas

Gas cartridges are pretty universally sold and should be available in Patterdale, Kirby Stephen, Richmond and in Osmotherly (slightly off route) at the minimum.

There is a camp site in St Bees right on the beach near the start of the walk, Try there office im positive they have gas canisters.
