There is an amazing lady walking lands end to john O groats she has just completed most of the Pennine way and stayed with us last night. We put her in the downdstairs room with disabled facilities to minimise the chance of any mishaps while she was with us. What a way to celebrate your 70 birthday.

That is an internet issue with rural Northumberland not anything bad happening to the lady in question.

She surely does deserve to succeed. She's entitled to a big improvement in the weather, so fingers crossed for her.

She finished in superb weather, which was the least she deserved. I was in the north of Scotland at the same time, but on the west coast, and it was just wonderful.
