I sure someone has done it.The record for the double Pennine Way is 8 days so I should imagine the coast to coast time would be much lower, probably around 4-5 days.If you are a strong walker you sdohlud be able to do there and back inside 14 days.

Thanks Tony
I was thinking of 11/12 days.

I have done in both directions West 2 East in 11 days carrying full camping kit.

Then East 2 West using Pubs/B&B in 5 1/2 days with a small 25 litre bag.

We did the Penine way last March in 10 days south to North but much prefered the C2C so thought we would have a crack at there and back this year.We are going to bivi bag and pub every other day.

I think you would have to take your best time, double it,and then stick an extra day on.Twelve days would be about right. It would certainly be a tough one and a fair test of endurance.

The PW double record was for running rather than walking.A couple of LDWA guys walked the double PW in 16 days and reported it as "very hard".
