It's taken a while (18months!!) but I've finally got round to put finger to keyboard for my Offa's Dyke walk. Or as much of it as I can remember. But it does bring back some happy memories.

Just the first half at the moment... second half to come.

Click here: Offa's Dyke, September 2011. Part 1.

Hope it's of some use and/or enjoyment.

Cheers!
OB

Hi OB
Just finished reading Part 1 so the pressure is on the write up Part 2. A very enjoyable read. Love the part about getting lost by following the walking group, only to find out that you were right (after a minor reversal) and they were going the wrong way. I can just hear those ladies berating the men!

Thanks for the write up of your walk, a very enjoyable read. If I don't write up my notes at the end of each day in the pub and then try and work out what I wrote within a few days of getting home then they are lost in memories and one day seems like the next. I intend doing Offa's Dyke in June if the weather isn't too intimidating!

I suffer the same problem but don't feel inclined to buy one of these tablet things to write up each night.
Am doing a south to north starting 31st May and will make a determined effort to take some notes and write them up.
weather forecast not to bad at the moment!

Phew. Finally got it finished. and tweak the navigation a bit...

Hope it's some inspiration and/or use to folks.

John - maybe you might want not to spoil the surprise if you've got yours all planned and you're ready to go!

The Offa's Dyke Path - a personal account. :-)
