The Restaurant on the Green
is situated in one of the most fascinating, ancient and picturesque areas of Richmond,
within sight and sound of the rushing River Swale at the foot of the Castle bluff yet
close to the famous cobbled market place and Medieval Bar (gate).
The Restaurant on the Green with its comfort,
friendliness, informality and location is perfect for either a one night stop-over, or a
short break in the middle of the Coast to Coast walk.

Inside the restaurant is
an enormous fine stone ingle-nook fireplace, also dating from 1689, in front of which it
is possible to savour an excellent meal prepared for you by the chef proprietor and enjoy
the ambience of our wood burning stove. |
Open to B&B guests seven days a week our small restaurant provides the perfect intimate atmosphere for a quiet candlelit meal. Our
menu is eclectic and Bistro in style, we use only the best ingredients. Choose a
wine from our personally selected list.Alternatively there is a comprehensive range of pub,
restaurant or hotel food available locally.
Originally a house, then an inn called the Three Tuns, the
Restaurant on the Green continues to offer hospitality which has always been a part of its
tradition and that of Richmond.
As Whatmoor Wines we operate a small Off-licence list for wines.
